No factory, no machine. Each animal is crocheted start to finish at her kitchen table — usually over a few evenings, sometimes over a couple of weeks if the sweater is complicated.
That means the one you get is genuinely the only one exactly like it. Little differences in the face or the sweater aren't flaws; they're how you know a person made it.
